General Rules
1. Wisconsin Administrative Rule – Chapter ATCP 160 govern county and district fairs in Wisconsin.
2. All exhibits must be the result of the exhibitor’s work in the current fair year unless otherwise specified.
3. It is understood that all persons participating in this Fair, acting on behalf of themselves, their principals, their agents or employees, agree to make no claim against the Fair, any official of the show, or anyone acting by, for or through them or any of them, for loss, damage or injury to any property, animal or person resulting from any cause. All animals, exhibits, grounds and buildings shall be under the entire control and management of the Fair but neither the Fair or any of its officers or employee will in any case be held responsible for any loss or damage that may occur to any exhibit. All exhibits shall be shown at the sole risk and responsibility of the exhibitor. .
4. Exhibitors may enter only one per lot number within all departments and classes unless otherwise noted. .
5. Exhibitors are liable for damage or injury caused by themselves or their exhibits while at the fair. .
6. The Oconto County Fair, Inc. is not responsible for personal injury sustained by exhibitor, employee, volunteer worker, or fair patron. .
7. Animal health regulations are strictly enforced. Animal exhibitors are urged to read and comply with the regulations for the species they are exhibiting. .
8. The Oconto County Fair Association reserves the right to interpret rules and regulations and resolve issues. All policy decisions are subject to the final approval of the Oconto County Fair Association. .
9. The Fair reserves the right to withhold the premiums awarded in any case in which it appears that the regulations have not been complied with, or that fraud or deception has been practiced or attempted. .
10. Any person who violates any of the rules of the Oconto County Fair will forfeit all privileges and premiums as an exhibitor of the Fair for the current year.
11. Any person who attempts to interfere with deliberations or decisions of a judge during judging of a class will be requested to leave the judging area. Failure to comply will result in removal from the grounds. .
12. Adverse rulings pertaining to interpretation of rules of the fair may be appealed to the grievance committee of the fair, whose determination is final. The decision of fair judges is final and not subject to appeal. .
13. The Fair recommends that all exhibitors keep a record of your entries and check all entry material for accuracy when it is received. Exhibitors are responsible for the accuracy of their entries. .
14. All exhibition areas will be open the following hours: .
a. Thursday – 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. .
b. Friday and Saturday – 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. .
c. Sunday – 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. .
